We know Yarvik is one of the many budget tablets which until now all turned on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system or an older version. This Android 2.x versions are optimized for smartphones and thus not ideal for tablets. Yarvik this week launches its first tablet with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for an optimal tablet experience.
The Android 3.2 Honeycomb was not released by Google. It was waiting for Android 4.0 and now this version has arrived to the manufacturers of the most recent budget tablet operating system. Yarvik kicks in the Netherlands with the TAB465EUK GoTab Exxa Android 4.0 tablet. Not only the operating system is different than we are accustomed, even the format is different from earlier Yarvik tablets. This model is doted with a 9.7 inch display “Yarvik TAB465”
Although we are still dealing with a budget tablet, the TAB465 has nice about specifications. You get a 9.7 inch IPS display with a capacitive touchscreen and a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels, a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor, 1024MB of RAM, 8GB internal storage memory, a microSD card reader for expanding memory, two USB 2.0 ports, a mini HDMI output, a 2.0 megapixel camera on the back, a VGA camera on the front, and a 8000 mAh battery. The tablet has a weight of 655 grams and a size of 244 by 191 by 10 mm. In terms of software you will not access the Android Market. Applications can be downloaded from an alternative Android market.
