MSI Wind U180 netbook

A giant in the market as MSI could not miss the call from the producers who have renewed their netbook updating to the new platform Intel Cedar Trail processors with Intel Atom N2600 and N2800, which promise a jump in performance compared to the past bringing new levels of performance especially in multimedia and intrattenitivo. MSI Wind U180 officially presented at CES 2012, it is not only a hardware refresh but also a complete redesign of its predecessor Wind U160.

The new Wind U180 comes with a clean design and very pleasant and with a slimmer chassis 21.26 mm and lightweight, with an approximate weight of approximately 1 kg New and trendy colors are also chosen for this new version among which the black (Minimalist Black), the white (White Angel) and a very particular shade of purple(Lavender) with a finish like IMR that protects the surface from scratches and fingerprints.

The configuration includes a backlit LED 10.1-inch with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and refresh rate of just 8 ms, which promises a fairly high quality for a netbook, processor Intel Atom N2600 with a clock rate of 1.6 GHz or N2800 by 1.86 GHz, Intel GMA 3650 graphics subsystem, 2 GB DDR3 RAM, hard drive 250 or 320 GB capacity, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, HDMI digital video output, set of 3 or 6 cell and system OS Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition 32-bit.

The netbook also has a technology Overclock MSI TDE to dynamically increase the frequency of the processor depending on the workload and MSI ECO , energy-saving solution that allows owners to choose among as many as 5 user profiles (Video Game, Movie , Presentation, Word Processing and Turbo Battery) and that should allow the Wind U180 to reach a maximum of 8 hours of battery life . At the moment, however, MSI has not mentioned the cost officer, nor the date of availability on the market.
