BlackBerry playbook 4G Tablet seems to be ready for prime time on the official markets.Was revealed by the CEO – Thorsten Heins – said that the version with support for 4G networks of the playbook (and with the BlackBerry OS 10) will be launched later this year to a price not yet officially defined. This news comes just after our article in which he spoke of the first tests on the new tablet RIM Blackberry playbook 3G/4G mobile operators that several Americans, Asians and Europeans, were performing.
Heins did not provide any details about the alleged launch date and has not released information about the bands that the wireless tablet support . Besides this, from what has emerged during the conference, RIM BlackBerry playbook will 4G initially distributed to businesses and will reach the consumer market at a later time. It also seems that the first model with 3G support, it could be launched during the month of June .
RIM BlackBerry playbook has a display of 7 inches and 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution and it is equipped with a processor from Texas Instruments OMAP 4 dual core 1 GHz frequency. The tablet comes with 1 GB of RAM and a storage of up to 64 GB depending on the version. Although the tablet is available in the market for over a year, the manufacturer has provided the only model equipped with WiFi connectivity, leaving behind new versions that probably could be interesting, at least for certain user groups.
The new model, equipped with 4G connectivity, it will have the opportunity to connect to broadband networks at high speed although you will need to sign a data plan to use the various services available. During the conference, Heins has also taken the opportunity to confirm that RIM has not completely given up the idea to offer devices based on physical keyboardinstead of touchscreens.
